Call for Panelist Applicants – NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) -  NSF seeks GRFP panels composed of researchers and educators from a wide range of institutions, geographic locations, and disciplinary and interdisciplinary backgrounds. Call for Nominations: 2018 NSB Honorary Awards - Each year, the National Science Board (NSB) pays tribute to remarkable contributions and public service in science and engineering through its Vannevar Bush and Public Service awards. NSB is currently accepting nominations for its 2018 honorary awards through Thursday, October 1, 2017. Learn more and submit a nomination.

TESS's Special Competition for Young Investigators - Time-sharing Experiments for the Social Sciences (TESS) is an NSF-funded initiative in which investigators propose survey experiments to be fielded using a nationally representative Internet platform (visit  http://www.tessexperiments.org/introduction.html#data for more information). Deadline: October 1, 2017.

2017 Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities is open to junior scholars in the humanities who are no more than eight years out of their doctorate and who are not yet tenured (may not be tenured during the fellowship year). The Ph.D. is the only eligible terminal degree. Call-for-Proposals: New Book on Midwestern Politics - Scholars, commentators, and political analysts are asked to submit proposals of 500 words or less outlining a proposed chapter for a volume on the history of Midwestern politics since 1945. More information is available from the editors.

MPSA Adopts Anti-Harassment and Professional Conduct Policy – On April 16, 2017, MPSA adopted an Anti-Harassment and Professional Conduct Policy modeled closely on the American Political Science Association Anti-Harassment Policy which outlines expectations for all who attend and participate in MPSA events and meetings. Read the policy here.
