Palmer House Hilton is the headquarters hotel where all conference activities take place is known as the longest-running hotel in North America. The hotel is recently remodeled, but it still has the feel of a grand hotel of its era, including a private dining room that Al Capone used, complete with secret passages for hasty exits. The hotel also features a 10,000-square-foot health club with an indoor lap pool, cardiovascular equipment, spa tub, steam room and sauna. InterContinental Hotel.  We have secured a block of rooms at the InterContinental hotel, a four-star hotel facing the Magnificent Mile. With its art deco exterior and Roman-style swimming pool, this is an historic Chicago landmark. The rates are $185 a night for a single or double room, and the hotel provides free gym access as well as free in-room Internet for MPSA attendees. Remember, if you are not a registered guest at one of the official conference hotels (or live within 50 miles of the hotel), the conference registration rates are higher. Hostelling International Chicago is a dormitory-style accommodation with 8-10 beds per room. The rate is $31-$35 per person per night plus tax for a bed in a shared dorm. Please contact the front desk at 312-360-0300 or by email at reserve@hichicago.org to make a reservation.
