Explores Religion in U.S. Politics |
Does religion matter in U.S.
politics? If it does, has its influence on politics
changed over the years? These are among the questions
that are examined in, “A Matter of Faith? The Past,
Present, and Future of Religion in U.S. Politics,” a
thought-provoking roundtable chaired by David Campbell,
University of Notre Dame, at the 2007 MPSA National
Conference, and the first in a series of podcasts
presented by MPSA.

and Implementation Research: A 'Critical, but Still
Emerging Area of Science' |
The
implementation of a new OBSSR strategic prospectus that
identifies increasing the "science of implementation" as
a key avenue for moving behavioral and social science
forward was part of the impetus for the NIH conference
that drew a sold-out crowd in September. Angela Sharpe,
Deputy Director for Health Policy, Consortium of Social
Science Associations (COSSA), reports.

Change: NIH Launches Interdisciplinary Research
Consortia |

Continuing its efforts to lower the
“artificial organizational barriers” and advance
science, on September 6 the National Institutes of
Health (NIH), through its Roadmap for Medical
Research, announced that it will fund nine
interdisciplinary research consortia.
