MPSA
66th Annual Conference, April 3-6, 2008
Proposal
Submission Form For
Special Undergraduate Section
Deadline: January 15, 2008
Instructions
for proposal submission form (PLEASE READ):
-
Information
will appear in the conference program exactly as entered on
this form. Please proof spelling and grammar prior to submitting. Be
sure to use upper and lower case letters as appropriate.
-
In
the section for the title, abstract, and overview, and all open-ended
responses, be absolutely sure to NOT use tabs or hard returns
or parts of your proposal may be lost. This could hurt
the chance of the proposal being accepted. Please type
it out.
-
Please
provide complete contact information for all co-authors (university
affiliation and email address) so we can list it in the program
and contact them with information about the conference.
-
Some
entries cannot be larger than a specific number of characters. A "character" is
equal to one keystroke. So the phrase "my paper examines" is
17 characters. Spaces and punctuation count. If you get an error
response that you have entered too many characters, then you
have entered too many characters, it is not an error with the
form.
-
Sections
marked with an asterisk (*) must be filled out or you cannot
submit the proposal.
-
If
you have problems with this form, it is most likely the result
of the specific settings on your internet browser. Probably the
fastest way around this if you're not internet knowledgeable
is to simply try another computer. You can always contact
our office at 812-558-0588, and we will try to talk you through
it.
-
There
may be a short (4-5 second) delay after you click the icon to
submit your proposal. Once
your proposal is submitted you will receive a confirming email
as will your co-authors, and the Section Head. There
may be a slight delay in receiving your email. Please keep this
email as it is your confirmation that we are in receipt of your
submittal.
-
If a proposal is accepted,
the Section Head will decide if it will be presented as a
poster; as a result, no audio-visual is available.
-
Your advisor must be
willing to attend the conference and the session with you. All
sessions will be scheduled for the Saturday of the conference. We may
limit each university or college to two posters. Proposals are
accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The advisor must attest
to the originality of the project. All attendees must register for the
conference. Registration fees for undergraduates are GREATLY reduced.
