15-20 hours per week

The MPSA operates virtually and has employees in five states with a staff of eight FTE. The MPSA annual conference is held every April in Chicago, IL (through 2029), with the exception of the 2021 conference, which will be held virtually, April 14-18. All staff must attend and work the week of the conference.

The graduate assistant will work closely with the conference team and will assist the IT team with the virtual conference platform. Duties include:

  • Data entry, including adding chairs/discussants and building professional development sessions
  • Assisting with virtual conference platform configuration and support
  • Assisting with the creation of presentation recordings (narrated PowerPoints or videos)
  • Additional duties, as assigned


  • Experience working remotely.
  • Excellent computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency with MS Office required. Experience with Zoom required; video editing experience preferred.
  • Must work efficiently, both independently and collaboratively, in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to communicate well with individuals from various countries and cultures.
  • College degree required.
