MPSA Mentoring Reception at the 78th Annual Conference

MPSA invites individuals from the following groups (graduate students, junior faculty, mid-career faculty, contingent faculty and PhDs in non-academic position) to meet faculty mentors for a small group mentoring reception during the 78th Annual Conference (April 15 - 18, 2021) at the Palmer House Hilton.

Each mentor will connect with groups of no more than four attendees to discuss current research and professional aspirations. Mentor and Mentee applications will open February 2021 with final matches occurring prior to the conference in April.

MPSA 2019-2020 Academic Year - Mentor Selection

Please note that conference participation is not required to participate in the Academic Year Mentoring Program. Mentors will work remotely (via phone or video chat) with graduate students, junior faculty, mid-career faculty, contingent faculty, and PhDs in non-academic positions in a structured format over the 2019-2020 academic year. Total commitment is approximately 10 hours. Mentee applications will open in mid-July and matches will be named in August. Both parties will receive a notification containing name(s), contact information, and brief biographical sketches and mentees will be asked to contact mentors within one week to establish contact.

  • The deadline for the 2019-20 academic year mentoring program has passed.
