Dr. William Morgan has served as the executive director of MPSA since 2000. During this time, the MPSA experienced growth, with number of conference presenters increasing by 250% and the number of members increasing by almost 300%. The membership has also changed, with the percent of international members increasing from 4% to 20%.
While at the MPSA, Will has served as a Board member of the Council of Social Science Associations, a Program Committee member for the Society for Scholarly Publishing, an Academic Society Advisory Committee member for Wiley Publishing, and a member of the Association Research Committee for the American Society of Association Executives. During this time, the MPSA received the “Power of Associations” award from the American Society of Association Executives, and the “Award for Excellence” from the Indiana Society of Association Executives.
Prior to serving as Executive Director for the MPSA, Will was co-director of the Center for Participation and Citizenship. In 2001, will received his Ph.D. in Political Science from Indiana University and he authored or coauthored articles that have appeared in The American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, Political Behavior, and Social Science Quarterly.

Meegan joined MPSA in 2013 and manages the executive office, providing support to the executive director and governance structure of the organization. Her duties include managing human resources, maintaining the MPSA virtual office, serving as committee liaison, and managing exhibits and sponsorships ar the MPSA annual conference.

A graduate of Indiana University, Meegan lives in Bloomington, Indiana, and enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dogs.

Tamara Speelmon is the Conference Director at MPSA. In her role, she works on all aspects of Conference Content for the Annual conference. She manages the programming committee and schedules all sessions.

Bonnie Van Deventer, Conference Specialistvandeventer@mpsanet.org

Bonnie Van Deventer serves as the Conference Specialist. Her responsibilities include conference customer service, overseeing onsite registration and assisting with the organization of the annual conference. Prior to joining MPSA in 2012, Bonnie’s experience included project management, contract administration and administrative services, in the private sector and University setting. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling.

Amy Dubach, CAE is the Membership and Communications Director for the MPSA, where she oversees membership, communications, marketing, graphic design, member engagement and other special projects.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Washburn University and is a Certified Association Executive® with thirteen years of non-profit association experience. She is passionate about connecting with people through communications and creating a meaningful and positive member experience.

In her spare time, Amy enjoys spending time with her family camping, going for walks, and putting together a craft project with friends.

Stephanie Carter is the Membership Specialist at the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA), where she assists with all aspects of membership including onboarding and renewals, programs and services, member assistance, and special projects.

With a B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism, Stephanie has been involved with associations for more than 12 years. She brings her expertise and upbeat personality to the table when working with and for association members. Whether it’s a membership project or troubleshooting an issue, her knowledge, passion and dedication to the field always comes first.

In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys camping and hiking (her biggest trail accomplishment is Half Dome in Yosemite!), reading endless amounts of books and spending quality time with her husband, Matt and their two children, Ava and Brayden.

Rachel Ankerholz, IT Directorankerholz@mpsanet.org

Rachel is the IT Director at MPSA. She is responsible for the overall organizational IT strategy, implementation and management of MPSA’s IT Systems. She provides leadership for the continued development of innovative, robust, and secure IT Systems.

Rachel has more than 15 years of experience in a technical role with the non-profit organizations, with the last 7 years in a leadership role. She has led multiple implementation projects and spearheaded new program development. She is a graduate from Mankato State University. Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, backpacking, and beekeeping.

Lisa Jorgenson, Systems Administratorjorgenson@mpsanet.org

Lisa Jorgenson is the Systems Administrator at MPSA, where she is responsible for the overall integrity of the organization’s Customer Relationship Management system, including applications development, data management, analytics and technical support.

Lisa has over 10 years of experience working with manufacturing and non-profit organizations in system administration, business process analysis, program management, and data stewardship roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Computer Information Systems from Saint Cloud State University.

Lisa enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her family.
