The Political Science Research Exchange: How MPSA is filling the gap following the 2020 conference cancellation

After the cancellation of the 2020 conference, MPSA surveyed participants on the potential for creating some virtual opportunities to share research, gain feedback, and participate in roundtables and professional development sessions.

The Results

In these stressful and unprecedented times, it was not surprising to see that only a small percentage of authors surveyed showed an interest in a full virtual conference.

While interest was not significant enough for a full virtual conference, survey respondents still indicated a need and a desire to gain feedback on their research, and interest in some of the professional development sessions.

Introducing: The Political Science Research Exchange

MPSA has created a new hub for sharing research and getting feedback: The Political Science Research Exchange. While it won’t fill the place of a conference, it will help fill the gap for members.

The Political Science Research Exchange is FREE for all members of the MPSA. Learn more about the Political Science Research Exchange and how you can participate: https://www.mpsanet.org/Professional-Development/Political-Science-Research-Exchange

We Are In This Together

The MPSA stands strong with its purposes to promote the professional study and teaching of political science, to facilitate communications between those engaged in such study, and to develop standards for and encourage research in theoretical and practical political problems.

We appreciate your consideration of participating in the Political Science Research Exchange to help advance scholarship in all areas of political science, especially during these challenging times.
